Edmar's 30th birthday in Switzerland: Day 2.1 : Bern

I found Zurich better than Bern but my husband thought otherwise!

...

For our second day in Switzerland, we decided to spend half the day in Bern and the other half in Interlaken, where we stayed for two nights

From Zurich, we took a one-hour train ride to Bern. It was a bit chilly that day! When we got there, we left our luggage in a storage room near the train station as our hotel for that night was in Interlaken, which is an hour train ride from Bern. That was so convenient!

After dropping off our things, we first went to the Einstein Haus museum where we had our first meal of the day. A little story: the place was called Einstein Haus because it was a former residence of Einstein. He rented the apartment from 1903 to 1905. It was located on the 2nd floor of the building.

We couldn't go in because it was closed to the public at the time. But there was a café below the apartment called Einstein café & bel étage.

The coffee and pastries were good. They were nothing special, but they tasted good!

After a while we strolled around and visited some of the sights.

After walking for a while, we started to feel hungry so we decided to walk to Kornhauskeller Restaurant & Bar to have our lunch!

When we got there, it was still a bit early. The restaurant was still closed, so we had to wait outside for a while. When I saw the place, I was overwhelmed by how nice the restaurant was! Sorry for the photos attached here, but they don't do justice to the beauty of the place. Actually, not just this place, but the whole of Switzerland!

I already forgot what we had ordered but I remember that their food was great!

To be honest, while writing this blog, I have just realized that Zurich and Bern are incomparable. Both have their own unique beauty and stories.

So if you are visiting Switzerland, be sure to visit both cities so you won't miss out!

Here is our Switzerland travelogue! Happy watching.

The End.
